Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 9, 2026
At Pixxy, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website (pixxyapp.com) and Chrome extension. By using Pixxy, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Chrome Extension
The Pixxy Chrome extension captures screenshots of your browser tabs entirely locally on your device. Screenshots are not transmitted to our servers or any third party. All image processing, including area selection and cropping, happens within your browser. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or usage analytics.
Website
When you use the Pixxy website, we may collect:
- Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
- Screenshots: When you capture a website screenshot via our API, the image is temporarily stored using presigned URLs that expire after 4 hours. We do not permanently store your screenshots.
- Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage data such as page views and feature usage to improve the service.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Pixxy service
- To authenticate your account via Google OAuth

Data Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect your information. All API routes are protected with CSRF validation, rate limiting, and SSRF protection. Screenshots captured through the Chrome extension never leave your device. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth: For user authentication
- Cloud storage: For temporary screenshot storage (presigned URLs, 4-hour expiry)

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
